Upon arrival we immediately headed for the most touristy thing we could……Gino’s with their signature chicago deep dish pies. Spent most of the evening there before heading to an irish pub about 6 blocks away to wash away the 11hr drive of mayhem. The next morning some of us (not me thats for sure) woke up at the crack of dawn to head to Soldier Field for that days festivities. Mostly beer and pics. Afterward we went out to Portillos for some italian beef samiches, chi town dogs, and burgers……oh and some panhandling with a pelican case. Sunday was spent enlightening our minds at an art museum and visiting the glass death boxes at Willis Tower. Later we drank it up at a local bar..think it was named Soviergn (probably not spelled correctly but thats what it looked like)…before laying our heads to rest in preparations for Mondays drive home. Of course a couple of us stayed a bit longer to get in some bike riding along Lakeshore and one last burger near Wicker Park.
