You have two choices here. The D series are for in-car use since they aren't wrapped in the metal sleeve. The S series, however, is for under-hood applications. Its wrapped in a metal sleeve to prevent swelling.

These would definitely be popular with the guys who dont want to relocate a stock size battery.

I personally have an optima redtop. this is my commuter car so i like alot of power for music and just in case i forget my headlights are on ect ect.

I normally stick with Gel cell batt's also for that very reason. But the weight kinda bugs me. It's every bit of 30+lbs
