OK , So here's the deal. I have a meeting tomorrow with the city people of Thomson Georgia. It's over by Augusta,
(Closer than Cordele is to Atlanta).

Here's the property:

The runway is 1 mile long.
We are allowed to run on the runways, Taxiways and The big concrete square area in front of the Terminal.

We may run multiple courses:
Fast and Technical are both possible.

Post up some suggestions on what you would like to run. I'm going to be on site tomorrow so post them up tonight if possible.

Notes on the event.
Looking for vendors. Low or no cost spots available
Shops that want to show off their stuff are welcome
There will be a car show.
There will be spectator ride along's
Local Radio and TV coverage
There will be an AFTER PARTY in town with a police escort to the party and back for the drift cars, STREET LEGAL OR NOT!
That's right, drive your track car to the party downtown and back with reserved on street parking for us.
With the city picking up most of the tab for this event entry fees will be low.

How many drivers do you desire and expect? More like a demo or an open event? I did a demo at an airport just like that and it was a blast.

There is so much paved area I'm thinking multiple courses. And yes open to all. I am going to meet with the Chamber of Commerce tomorrow at 11 am then with the airport people later in the day.
There have been many meetings preceding this one and so far everyone is on board. If this one is successful they would like to do 3 or 4 a year.

Now that my car is running again I could be interested in something like this.
Ready for more deets.

Include one of these 3 segments, as I guarantee they will be wicked fun, preferably going into the open area.

I have 2 friends in Thomaston that I have known for over 10 years, Working on this for months now.Both are on the city council and some local boards. This isn't drifters begging for use of a lot, they are asking us to come. It don't get sweeter than that.
