SR troubles...

so I have been driving my 240 to work since around Christmas and have had no problems. Until this morning...

I got in the car and truned on the acc and let the fuel pump bulid pressure like I do everytime. Went to start her and she turned but no catch. (since I've had her running she has never done this to me)

So I tried again, no catch. The third time I bliped the gas and she started, but she sounds funny, kind of loppey like if I had cams, but it is a real steady pattern, I let her warm up for a few minutes to see if it would go away and it didn't. So I drove up the stree and back, If I hold it at 2500 to 3000 cruzing down the street when I let to shift off it back fires pretty good.

so I came back home and pushed in the clutch to coast down the drive and the idle dropped and she died. I restarted her and same lope and everything so I turned her off and parked her, to drive the civic today.

If I have time I'm going to pull the plugs to night.

Oh I think she is runnning rich too, I could smell gas.

Any thoughts????

Matt???? :?:

not yet to the safc but it will rev all the way up. could that still be the mAf?

I haven't got to work on her yet, I need to finish installing some cabnets. we are in the middle of playing Home improvement, the Tim Taylor DYI version.

I hope to work on her sunday, I'll keep ya posted. and come back with a volt reading for the maf

I got to spend a few hours on my car this weekend while the stain was drying on the cabnets.

The maf was showing 12volts on the white wire and 14 in the black.

it is running really rich and my neigbor who is a mecanic was wondering if it could be a bad temp sensor?

any thoughts?

I worked on my car for about 3 hour thursday night. Number 3 cyl plug is fouled out so I replaced the plugs and it did the same thing, So I checked the coil pack and wiring tested continuity between the ignitor chip and the plug to the coil pack and used a timming light to test the coil also. then I used a small bulb to test the wire goign to the fuel injector and it was pulsing like it should so I guess it is the fuel injector staying open.
