D1 for your phone???

I'm looking into this... I'm almost positive it won't be compatible with US-spec cellphones... but it would be WICKED rad if it is!

i think you can get a JDM phone and simply change the sim card to work here, but not sure if that would not allow the game to work or not. lauren has been wanting a JDM phone for awhile now so i have done some research on this. i always wanted one too. their phones are just so much cooler than anything we can get in the states.

All of our phones our JDM, we just have the ones they used about 10 years ago. And if you really want some, our friends over there can pick them up for you, just be specific on the model.

only problem is that the japanese phones use a lot of technologies they don't use in the states, different frequencies as well. so you can get it, but it'll work like crap and you still won't be able to get that game since none of those companies sell in the states

I saw a lot of "JDM" electronincs at the unclaimed bagadge place in abalambala and it was all uber cheap.

actually if you are serious about it i believe DoCoMo just started to use simcard phones to better globalize their products and now offer a world wide service. i am not sure of the monthly but chances are it will be high. I am just having a friend of mine get one unlocked for me. BUT it might not work. if any of you are serious about it pm me and i might be able to hook you up. WARNING: phones in japan are cheap but with no contract with the company prices may vary.

oh and the d1 game... it's actually kinda lame, a friend of mine had it a few months back and , to tell you the truth, it was kinda poopie. but thats just my $.02

if you want a cool game with all the d1 cars in it, get a japanese ps2, and buy kaido battle 2: chain reaction. but it's hard, i have been trying to unlock the d1 cars for a long ass time and have been somewhat unsuccessful. but that's just cause i suck at video games.

yea, but alaska might not be the best place to try to connect a cell phone. they might get confused with all the buttons and complicated electronics.
