Same Foose Nitrous I had on old LS1 car. I had a set of 17's for places with huge curbs (Road Atlanta)

Cage will take care of structure I want to keep. The back of the car will fold straight up now, which is what I want.

R A C E C A R

Paint looks a lot crappier in person, lot of debris/crap in it, I am at the point where unelss its something functional I'm just kinda throwing it together but still doing it semi-right.

Hopefully have the cage in this week and start/maybe finish the wiring, then suspension/brakes/drivetrain.

Still touching up paint, was gonna spray tractor paint but was talked into refrigerator paint, so nothing radically new, plus been doing other stuff this weekend.

Derrick and I can pick up the bare chassis right now though, moving it was fun.

And my friend Curtis is awesome and got me this

The unrealistic goal is 2000# with blown LSjuan and foose's. I loaded it onto a trailer by myself earlier, there is no way it weighs more than 200# right now if I can pick the whole thing up by myself and push it onto a trailer with just a dolly under the radiator support.

Insignifigant, but means I've done everything I want to before installing the cage, so that will start going in and hopefully I'll have it mostly done by next week, then lexan, then wiring. Hopefully in a month all I'll have left is paint/drivetrain, which may seem a stretch, but its a goal to work towards.

5 bars to go, then done. Buying metal tomorrow, hopefully have it all done by wednesday night. Went to drifting stuffz and just been hanging out and doing other stuff last couple days, enjoying the weather before Mr. Freeze comes to town.

Its made by Sandisk, its a little Ipod Nano sized mp3 player, I wanted something that sized but didn't like that the nano had naNO screen. Bought it for my old street 240 and had it rigged as a radio because the radio didn't work, so now its the radio at the shop.

So today was gonna get the steering column done.  Guy tried to sell me some U-joints but I decided I didn't need them.

I'm going to buy some U-joints tomorrow.

So today I sanded the red pretty flat (or so I thought), then wiped everythin down and taped allllll this crap off, and it was a lot more tedious than I thought, but whatever. Took 2-3 hours of taping, then I ran out of tape, and Jonathan started working on his Foxbody (yay more drift cars/friends who will play with cars) and needed some fittings. So we went to Advance...

"Oh hey Mike, you need fittings? They're actually on clearance"

ORLY?

'Bout 2 hours later I left with this;
Image

1 of two equal sized receipts was as tall as I was, turned out they were clearing out all the old fasteners, including metric, so I just basically bought them out. I bought roughly 320 packages of fasteners, or fittings, for five cents per package. Yeah. $17 later I had just increased my fastener supply in stock at the shop by about a million billion percent. Win.

So after that random awesome adventure, we wen't to Belle de Taceaux, and I finished taping and painted the cage for the last time, although the paint started cracking, which kinda pissed me off, but whatever, its gonna get beat up anyways, and the places it did it aren't very noticable, and will be under the dash or padding in those particular spots anyways, so whatever.

Image

Tomorrow gonna help Jonathan with his Foxbody some, and scotch brite + coat #2 of the white, then start working on wiring.

Side note: If you haven't seen the movie Convoy, you're missing out on life. Watch it.

I saw that car a couple months back, its everything I've ever wanted.

Can't afford to finish mine now though, so just doing what I can on the 13 then I'll bring the Camaro in as a long-term awesome project.

Still learning/re-learning a lot about building cars on this S13

Little stuff done

Derrick helped me do this halfway correctly instead of massively ghetto.

Image

*in theory* I'll try to have the car rolling tomorrow, and then roll the car thru a bath of gold spray paint wonder.
