If you look close, you can see the cone wadded up in front of the tire. It dosent look like its stuck on anything in particular. You can see tire smoke. The wheel is locked up and I was not hitting the brakes. I believe I was trying to transition at this point and the front end was going nuts.

Unbelievable.

this was just posted on drifting.com by "NopiTech"

It is unfortunate what happened to Dennis. He did everything in his power to correct the problem but had no control. From what I saw in a few pics, there was a cone under the car, but, it looks like he had a broken tie rod or end. The right wheel was turned, the left wheel was straight.

His entry speeds were in the mid 50's all weekend. I would say that he was well above 40mph when he had impact with the K-rail.

Good thing is Dennis is ok, and looks like he has a few options out there on a new ride or building a new one to finish the season.

Good Luck to Dennis.

Thanks to everyone who came out and ran this past weekend. Congrats to Rob from XAT and Dan from Batlground/Maxxis. You guys were awesome in the finals.

Yeah thats a load of freakin bs, look at the FOERST two pictures where the cone is under the left front. The alignment is obviously pretty dead on and not as if a tie-rod had been broken or bent. This is getting ridiculous. they should just say hey, we messed up we got the wrong size k-rails and set up an entirely retarded unsafe course, our bad we're going to start listening now; they just need to get over a little thing called pride.

Late to the party as usual. Glad Dennis is okay. That was one hell of a shunt.

If I could get 20k for crashing my car at each event, I would do it....just like the monster truck guys......I will admit, its alot more exciting to see a crash than a sucessfull run, ask a NASCAR fan.

the ride wasn't fun though.. :(

Brady PLEASE post those pictures on Drifting.com.

That tie-rod was definitely broken... AFTER THE WHOLE FRONT SUSPENSION WAS OBLITERATED BY A FULL-FORCE IMPACT WITH A K-RAIL. Trying to blame that on a broken tie-rod is a cop-out. It's time to take some responsibility.

That k-rail should NEVER go flying like that.
I'm sorry... but that is just UNACCEPTABLE.
