Where in maretta?, And the turbo hoad I just thought it looked cool, Most of the work I did myself. The exhaust I had to pay to a shop to weld it all together. Thanks for the complement.

Acutally i'm going to go the other way with it. I'm going to be getting the REGEN engine out of a Wreck rx8, along with the six speed trany for $ 5000, next year when I get my cash saved back up I'm going to put the mazda speed 5lb super charger on it. Turbo's are cool but for equally power through the bandwith superchargers are best. As for the turbo hood I'm thinking ram air, or foced induction cooling.

If you have never driven a properly setup turbo rx7, then can't really comment on how they pull. Supercharger system will give a max boost at your shift point, my turbo is full on by 2500rpm. Making for a really nice torque feeling. You should consider the 13b turbo less money in engine setup, more money for tires. But hey it be interesting to se the ren. motor in a 2nd gen. But if i was going to go through that much fabrication i would just do the LS1 swap.

This is with the stock turbo right? Well making a n/a into a turbo (this trying to build the turbo system like a turbo II would be) is about the same price, Plus I get six gears and points for orignality. The 5lb super charge will give you the same power all through, not just at shift points on the REGEN engine. I have research this fearly well, with calls to mazda speed and Akins Rotory. I do like the turbo blow-off sound though. maybe I will look into the turbo's for the REGEN. Thanks for the in put.

you mean RENESIS motors ???? they don't like turbo's due to port design.....i won't get into it{FC}DriftingCanadian13b wrote:This is with the stock turbo right? not to burst your bubble, but my turbo kit i made cost under 1500.00. So i would say turbocharging the n/a is the cheapest way to make power. But hey if thats what you are stuck on doing go for it. I just don't see the appeal of adding more belt driven things to rotary, when taking of the a/c,p.s, really makes a differance to them
. But none the less it would interesting to see.

I'm just afraid of putting a turbo on the 13b motor, the turbo version was kind of a last minute design idea that the people at Mazda had. I mean the turbo 13b's usually don't last much longer then 100,000- 120,000. And this motor has 113,000 miles on it. The N/As do last longer. Where as the RENESIS motors are supposedly indestructible, due to the redesigned ports and location of the apex seal.
Where did you get the turbo kit for 1500?
