Awsome day, I think i did pretty well for my FOERST event. It was a little bumpy at FOERST but by the end of the day i got better.

Thanx to DG trials for an awsome event, will definately sign up for the september event.
Also thanx go to martymartymarty.net, Andy, Tony and Erik for their drifting tips and instruction.

I had an absolute blast out there (despite the heat). The course layout was awesome and really taught me to use some other techniques. I really hope that you keep this course for the next Frid Slide.

Another rad ass event for sure!!! I feel a LOT better about third gear slides. I'm definitely ready to rawk FD Chicago now!!!

I think this layout was a big challenge for everyone. The general consensus towards the beginning of the day was that the FOERST turn was too hard... but after lunch that consensus turned to "I'm starting to get it now"! It makes me sooo happy to see everyone progressing out there. It's awesome to see all my friends kicking ass and taking names!!!

I can't wait for the next event so ATL can rawk out again!!!

i had fun at my FOERST event, even though i sucked lol. i guess that's to be expected. i look forward to more events in the future, and to learning a lot more about the sport. everyone was really nice and supportive, which is great, count me in for the next one!

Definitely a fun event. It sucked having to watch it from the cone chaser's station though.

It seemed like everyone improved throughout the day and got some really good experience with the high speed entrances.

Bring on SFS4!

I had a blast watching you guys out there. In case you didn't know, I was the kid taking pictures of you guys with the grey sparco shirt on and rawking a D70.

i felt that the event ran really well. it was very very hot out.. and everyone was a trooper. definitely big props to all our volunteers for being awesome.

the course was very different and definitely higher speeds. some people had been askin for more high speed and i think we setup the course well for that purpose. there were many new techniques you had to use for the turns and to be able to link them well.

for those of you that had cars understeering horribly in the reducing radius part of turn one..... don't try to powerover because its not going to help the problem, you need to let off a little bit and let the front end regain traction and then allow the rear end to rotate.

the heat was definitely a big factor for the tires and all participants. we're going to consider moving SFS4 to another date possibly later in september so everyone can also attend SEDA's 9/11 and then SFS4 to get as much practice as possible.

the goal of our events is to cultivate as many skilled drivers as we can for the 2006 competition season.

ooh, a later date would be awesome! i'd love to do both events if possible.

Thanks for letting me ride with you, Andy. You made my day! Being in the car with you when you were going at it with the R Speed Miata was the most fun I have had in a LONG time. (I was the one riding with you when you **coughhitthebannerstandcough** ). I'm looking forward to being at SFS4!

Don't mention it! You can ride any time!!! Those high speed entries were a BLAST!!! I'm glad you had fun running tandem with martymartymarty!

As for the banner stand... grrr. The only thing I can think is that the wind caught it like a sailboat and slid it over closer to the course. It was right in the line of fire. It sucks... because I have to much to do to the car without worrying about bodywork. BUT - it could have been much much worse... say... a lightpole instead of a PVC contraption.

Don't sweat it Andy. Im sure there are some people who are skilled with bodywork atleast enough to lend you a hand in getting that dent out at some point. Awesome event, yeah that was rad getting to watch you and Martmartymarty go at it tandem drift RACINGG!! Great event, incredibly fast track layout.
