Don't mention it! You can ride any time!!! Those high speed entries were a BLAST!!! I'm glad you had fun running tandem with martymartymarty!
As for the banner stand... grrr. The only thing I can think is that the wind caught it like a sailboat and slid it over closer to the course. It was right in the line of fire. It sucks... because I have to much to do to the car without worrying about bodywork. BUT - it could have been much much worse... say... a lightpole instead of a PVC contraption.
Next time, f0 Sh0! That way if I get to ride with you again we can have the battle footage from both cars! 
At least it was just a small dent, and you are right, better that thing than a light pole.
