Heli shots were rad. Kinda bummed I had him talked into taking Andy up except for the fact he was too low on fuel, then he took their dude up anyway. Oh well, maybe next time.

I had a blast!
Thanks a ton to all the folks that made this happen. I hope it will happen again. It's nice driving under 1 hour to an event for once.
Keep her fueled up next time Howard!

Awesome, I've got a few clips that are semi-watchable nothing over a few seconds long though. The rest was wayyy too shaky. That big lens wasn't any good for anything. I'm going to pick myself up a decent video tripod, a wide angle of some sort, and either a contour or a gopro as soon as I have some spending cash coming my way. I've been itching to do a car video for a minute but don't want to do anything until I can do it right.

I feel you on that. It was so hot I really didn't get enough footy for a proper edit. But I'm basically forcing it ITB to work. 110% dry. It will be fast, it will be quick, and when it is done, you will feel violated.
That 300 is definitely bonkers for shake handheld... and even with a monopod. Depending on how shaky your footy is... I can fix it. I gots tricks!
Patrick... I got you! I've been working on it every chance I get... which is usually like 4 hours a day. I have the rough cut done... but there is more fun I want to have with it because I want to try some new things.
