I just caught this on Discovery. Well, I saw the last half anyway. It was pretty cool. I tried to find the video but can't. Anybody else see it?

They took a 75 Datsun and crammed a new 350z engine into it and then took on Ken Gushi. Of course Jesse got schooled but in his defense he's never drifted before and he had a cast on his right leg. Rhys Millen showed up to test the car out and ran into one of the sawhorse things. It was funny to see the camera man go from composed shot to running for his life.

My best friend up in NY has been telling me about it - but I haven't seen it. It sounds crazy! I think just about anyone taking on Ken Gushi'll lose. I predict he's going to be a front runner next season. Just my $.02.

Ya it was pretty good. Jesse didnt do so bad for having a bad leg and being his FOERST time too... and Ken did own his ass pretty good.

Please tell me they let a pro driver take some laps in the car. I would imagine it would be tricky car to drive period, let alone with an ameteur behind the wheel.

after they finished the project, rhys millen took it out for a spin and was doing some nice size drift circles. car had lots of body roll but still looked good.

The Honey bee rocking the welded diff.

I like after the little shoot out with Gushi Jesse admited he like the whole drift thing and had an appreciation for the driver skill needed. Aparently he thought it was pretty lame before hand.

Did you see the white 510 on there that the Datsun guru/builder guy had, that looked really good.
