Word on the street is... the Andretti family went to the speed lab, and saw how poorly maintained the track and karts were... so they bought it out! The previous owner only bought the rights to the name... so Andretti themselves have taken over.

What does this mean for us? NEW karts (rumored @ 9 HP), and a NEW track that encompasses the entire facility (previously two smaller tracks).

With that in mind... I propose a dM invasion to test out the new setup!!! It should be pretty rad. Leave the bs at home, and take it to the track.

It's on. This Saturday... usual dM time: 9pm (which when translated to dM time means much later... but try and shoot for 9.

I can't wait to get out there in the new karts!!!

I heard they were there from a friend of mine. He didn't get to race the Andretti's head to head but he did manage to beat both their times on the track that day. He's going to frame the time slip he got with his name above theirs.

heck yes, that will be great. this will be fun relief for the 14 hour day i just worked, the long day i'm gonna work tomorrow, and the long day i'm probably gonna have to work on saturday morning.

Dayom... I was just thinking about something... 20 racers is a lot of people to thread through. You know how hard it could be with 10 people out there... DOUBLE IT... and that could be a headache. Oh well... most of the time, it's a matter of simply taking the correct line, and BAM they are passed like whoa.

Being at work today isn't half bad... the phone isn't ringing at all, and nobody's here (except the hawt Cherry Bomb grrrls... ). Either way, I'm still ready to rawk some kartStylee tonight. It's on!

i went to a kart place back home one time, but they were electric cars or something and they kept slowing me down like they had a governer on them or something but anyways every time i tryed to pass they would slow my kart down so i ended up like 2nd to last place or some shit.... bastards i think they controll the karts from the booth

They are definitely controlling things now. There's a sort of "master control" booth where something is going down. My initial review of the "new and improved" Andretti karting experience is... CHANGE IT BACK!

For starters... there are 20 people out on track... which is way too many for a track of that size. Second... the carts are VERY governed. Hitting the front straight, you peg the limiter 1/3 the way down. It sucks. There's NO use trying to snag the correct line, because some IDIOT who isn't taking the right line come flying right into the corner and will nail you into the wall. There are maybe three solid places to pass... whereas the last setup I could pretty much pass anywhere. They don't really seem to enforce the blue/orange flag... uh - AT ALL.

I feel like the old setup was very condusive to developing skills... this new setup seems quite the opposite.

On the bright side... the carts are all new... the harnesses and seats actually hold you in place. The karts were definitely having some fuel starvation issues... or the remote governing was acting up. There were times when my foot was to the floor - and no throttle response what so ever.

It was real... it was fun... but it wasn't real fun. I may hit it up from time to time... but I'd rather race my real car anyday.

Bwaahahaha...BTW, don't try and tag the kart with a "drifting is not a crime" sticker... you'll get caught, lol.
