And what kind of material is that that they are made of? If it's a plexy glass kinda set up then I bet they scratch with in a couple of washes.. Imagine after 15 washes or so.. gonna start looking like someone sandpapered them.

I think they are lexan. My dad used to work in plastics... and I remember lexan being the strongest depending on the density. It's an extremely hard plastic... so the surface might not scratch too easily.

I think these wheels are a cool idea... but more form before function. The look like show wheels only.

i think they look inbetween being really tricked and pimped up~ remember those pimps shoes with the goldfish in em~ yeah~ but i was interested in how that shizz holds up and what kinda mat. it could be~ lexan is a possiblity but warps and disfigures under high heat levels~ so the FOERST time you get those brakes temp up it could get nasty. it might be this new military aluminum that is clear and almost 100% scratch resistant. its called aluminum oxynitride. check out this link~ pretty much says that a .50 caliper sniper rifle w/ armor piercin cant do shit to the stuff, and its around 10$ per square inch. that would make the rims at 10g. hot damn.

i think that the rims are a good idea but they should have given it more thought on how they were gonna clean them and keep them looking good without damaging them

The biggest problem is with heat. These would not produce any airflow to the brakes. The best application would be for brake companies at shows like SEMA. These would be a great way for them to show off their goods.
