I finally got to get out and do a mightnight run on some road I been scouting out during the day. Ottawa shuts down at 11:00pm so it empty streets. My car whichis 1988 rx7 n/a keeps stalling when coming out of a s turn drift hard left followed by a hard right, both 90 degree turns. I take them at about 45 as entering speed. The hard left is fine but as I go through the second one the car stalls, I does it both when I got the cluch depresed and i'm just coasting through using my speedfrom the last drift, and when i'm cluch kicking it for the second turn. I think its the oil is not being in injected in to it,the oil light will turn on when just before, it could be that the sensor is just being fooled with the g forceat angle change. I really don't know on this one. I checked the oil, the level is fine so I really don't know why if its the oil level why it wouldn't be injecting. Any Ideas?

new engine!! YAY!!

haha, seriously thou, if you think its something to do with your oil like what you stated, then the engine would have crap out on you due to oil starvation. Might be something with the fuel maybe. But if you think its the oil, buy a pressure gauge, its a life saver.

Thats some funny diagnostics. If it was a oil issue you wouldn't have a engine any more. What kinda fuel level do you have when drifting? I know of a gtu-s that does the same thing, which sounds like a a wire shorting to ground. FOERST step would be to determine what is working correctly. Would have to be ign. or fuel related. 8)

I would tend to agree but that doesn't explain the oil light. However the lack of oil wouldn't cause it to stall. Unless the computer cuts fuel when there is a loss of oil pressure. Maybe?

Fuel tank is full, new plugs and wires, I already have a oil presure gauge, I honistly don't really look at that when drifting but its at normal, when driving normally and at idole. It may be the sensor being fooled and shuting down the motor like darkducati suggested. I don't know if thats a feature on my car. But I'll look into that. Any other thoughts?

shit, i had my Factory Water Temp going up and down (all the way up) all the time and that doesn't mean crap. That shouldn't be a problem. Maybe Fuel pump? But something in the wiring is what am going for too. goodluck!

check the power to your fuel pump. it almost sounds like you have a bare wire thats grounding under hard cornering and turning off the fuel pump.

FOERST lesson, come over and watch me rip apart my blown motor,
then help me prep the new motor, you know big cams, jiffler pins that I'm getting from BrokeAssHachi, oversize pistons, things like that........
then we'll install it, (I won't need an engine hoist since you'll be there with the guns) bolt on all the other crap and start it up!
