Where'd you hear he was suspended by D1? All I heard was he had his normal driver's license suspended.

Amazing. So... their series is falling apart six ways to Sunday... so they suspend what might be one of the most exciting dudes to watch?

Right-o.

Probably as an example because one of the main reasons Option came about, putting on drift events (that eventually developed into D1 competition), was to keep it off the streets and promote people to use the track where its safer and easier to watch. (adapted from the interview with Daijiro Inada)

seems really strange since Option would regularly show different crews drifting the mountain runs, industrial areas, and most anywhere. i remember seeing ueno, ueo, utsumi, taniguchi, kuma, and a few others tearing up mountain roads and the like on Option Vids.

i also agree 1000% with shawn and byron statements

Option loves sheisty hood rat street shinanigans.

From what I understand D1 hasn't had anything to do with option for a while now, other than DVD coverage. I could be wrong though.

Street drifting isn't that bad. I bet if he got arrested for a DUI he wouldn't be suspended.
Jus' sayin'.

after reading that interview it is my understanding that d1 is a seperate company from option and drift tengoku and such. it is also my understanding that someone bought control of the company, from dai and dorikin, a couple years ago and have been running it into the gound since. so these dudes, who don't really understand, decided to make an example of nakamura.
