FuCK! Im not sure if I'll be able to make it now either. I installed the new alternator on the 86 today and it still won't start.

New battery.
New Alt.
Turn the key and the only thing you hear is the fuel pump.
Im stumped.

If this car makes me miss another event, Im going to be livid!

its unlikely but run a new heavy gauge wire from your starter. i just had this same problem and a toyota tech told me to try it low and behold it works.

dude worse case senario just run a wire switch and relay to your starter and put it on a toggle switch. it may be getto but hell if it lets you run then event then why not.
