so let's work on a date then...

i'd prefer a weekday trip just to make it easier on the wallet... but i'm not totally opposed to a weekend deal if that's what works for most. my schedule is pretty flexible as long as i get my request in a couple of weeks before.

I can do either as well, but with school. Starting again today, so it will have to be a Thursday. I got some practice in while I was in California.

I would be down depending on my brother's ability to send my gear out here, and the timeframe.

I rode Flow bindings until this season, had crazy issues my last trip with the clips for the forward lean adjustment. The metal clips on the adjusters wore down the plastic hangers on the backings, so basically my backings are junk now. I wasnt a real big fan of Flows anyway but got a good deal from my old shop, but now its conventional only for me forever. I have a set of FOERST run Salomon bindings I got in like 1998 that still feel better than anything I have tried since.

On a side note Ill be riding vintage stuff if I do go :) My last trip to Mammoth I creased my board and wore out the Flows on the same day, so its back into the High School gear surplus hahaha

That reminds me, I need to wax my board before I even think about going at all, haha.

Fridays would be best for me so I could have the weekend to recover, being old and all, and I just don't like taking random days off during the week. And I'm free just about anytime. I will ask Kathy what works for her.

BTW: Whats to cost for a day trip? Over night stay?

websites i posted in the original post have prices for lift tickets/rentals. cataloochee is the way to go for a day trip. hotel prices in banner elk, NC (sugar/beech mtns) have been around $90/night every time i've stayed there, but it's always been weekend stays.

I just talked to Wooley, he's going up to one of the ones mentioned with a couple of his friends on the 21st (Thursday) for a day trip and invited any of us to tag along. Might still be cool to try and do a dM weekend trip but this could be a fun extra one for kinda cheap, I'm thinking about trying to make it if possible.

I'm tempted to try my hand (or feet?) at snowboarding again. I broke the SHIT out of my arm when I lived in New York, and haven't been since.
I probably shouldn't though.

Well, my family waants me to go to Mardi Gras this year so I dont know if this will be possible. Still debating on taking a week off from work during a super busy time, so maybe this trip would make more sense. Still up in the air.
