ive got a 90 fc3s rx7 and im trying to remove those damn dtss bushings from my car and im having a hell of a time getting the metal ring arouns the bushing off

can aanybody help

Are you trying to beat them out or press them out? I think best course of action if you don't have a press is Mazcare or a machine shop. They should be able to do it in about 30 min.

If you don't have a press, a blowtorch works wonders too.

what i did was just take the chunk of suspension that the bushing sits in to a machine shop, had them press the old ones out (or i might have gotten the old ones out myself, i don't remember) and press the new ones in, but i also had another car to drive while i was doing this, but i think that would be the easiest way. after the new bushings controlling drifts was wayyyy better.

thx for the help on the bushings guys i took it to napa's machine shop and had it pressed out. now i got one dtss eliminator bushing and one stock bushing. lol
should get the last tue

that was a fun day...its crazy how the simpliest things do a complete 180 and turn into being a big pain in the ass

Murphy"s law was written specifically for cars. They will do a 180 turn faster than anything else in the world. Except for woman. :D
