Post by zapp brannigan »

Name: Zach Taylor

Location: Huntsfail, Al

Year: 1990

Model:240sx Coupe

Price: 12,000 OBO

Trades: Will throw in cash for GTO, Audi A4/S4, BMW M3

email: zach.taylor@yahoo.com

number: 256-656-7846

Do NOT call and negotiate. Call and ask questions. Cash talks, so show up with it and negotiate. I will arrange shipping, or pickup, and will deliver within 200 miles.

Ok guys, up for sale is a completed S1 RB25 swap with TONS of parts. Big brakes. Good suspension. Let me skip to the good stuff. This car has nothing BUT new parts in it. All new suspension down to balljoints and bushings. I am sure TONS of small parts have been left out, as well as the price of the car, but here is what is invested. Does not count the wiring job by Wiring Specialties. I know that you never get what you put into a car, but ive got 13K in large parts, not counting the car or the work. Feel free to ask questions! Car has never been to the dyno or to the track, but these mods net 250whp normally.

Good:

The car is completely straight with a clean title.

Running 10psi and it pulls hard

Finished Product, although there are tons of details to work out, if you like.

The clearcoat is coming off the roof, and I removed the spoiler.

Power Steering works

Brand name parts throughout

All major bugs worked out, car has been up and driving for awhile now

Aside from bolster ripped, interior is nearly pristine

Never been to the track or dynoed

Comes with Z32 wheels and tires as well

Bad:

Ac is not hooked up.

Dash lights work sometime

Sometimes idles poor if it has been sitting(faulty TPS, i think)

No tach or speedo(HUD car)

High beams do not work

Holes in the trunk from removed spoiler

Suspension can be hard on you, if you drive it alot

Front mount needs tabs welded on. Using zipties now

ODO was not working when I bought it. Stopped at 240K !!!!

Laugh it up. Really. Because its easier to down a price than to make a reasonable offer, right?

Seriously though, no hard feeling, but I think your on the wrong forum if your trying to get that price. I would go to Zilvia or ImportAtlanta...tons of suckers there.

On another note, again no hate, if you really paid 13k to build that car, I feel sorry for you throwing your money away.

Considering that it's pretty much a close to stock S13 with a RB25DET in it.

There's a really nice S13 with a SR and ton of mods with a ATS 2 way diff going for $5500.

For $12,000 there better be a paper bag with about 7k cash in it in the glove box. I'm not trying to hate on you but it sounds like this is one of your FOERST cars and FOERST lessons on fair market value. What you have invested in your car means about as much as how much I have to spend when it comes to market value. I have sold vehicles for three times what I had invested in them and a third of what I had invested in them. It doesn't mean shit. Time for you to man up and learn a lesson the hard way. Best of luck in your next venture!

i didn't even know bride made steering wheels! seriously though, that car is worth about 5500 at the most. just because you paid that then, doesn't mean your going to get that now.
