No more LS13's, 72 Camaro and Rotary Brat Lemon.
So today, the world's 1st LS1 powered S13 officially died, which also happened to be my 1st little racecar, which is kinda sad.
there was really no turning back after this.
My super non-legal cage that has a tech sticker. Gonna try to give it to some friends for lemons after I fix it, along with a free hatch I picked up last night. Cut the cage out.
Tomorrow I'll be cleaning the shop some more, and working on mounts and stuff for this thing. The cool thing is with cutting up LS1 car, I kept the framerails/firewall/subframe and my blown to hell Ls1 block, along with some junk heads and a spare t56 I'll be able to make some mounts for it while leaving it outside which is kinda cool. I may get into this whole LS1 mount business deal since I now have a mockup engine and mockup car, so if you're thinking about it and want a bolt-in swap, lmk.
I'm really kinda sad, but at the same time I did spend 6 months looking at 240's all over Texas before I bought that one, and it is in awesome shape minus the faded paint, and with some other parts I've been accruing over the last 2 years I'll end up with one super nice street car that will be totally streetable and trackable, and I am really excited about that. The only thing I haven't figured out is when/where I'm going to turn maroon car into blue car, but I've got some time to figure that out.
400rwhp with A/C will just be cool.

Re: LS1 240sx...take 2.
This makes me really sad. I tandemed with you in that car across the 17th street bridge for Slide America. That car is fucking LEGEND, and will be missed for sure.
Moment of silence please.

Re: LS1 240sx...take 2.
i have a way better idea, but no money or space for it right now.
beardlife, look for a used GTO kit and use the camaro accessories, thats what I had and they should be on the market pretty cheap now.
the blower won't be going on maroon car for now, but maybe within a month or two. since i'll actually be able to build it properly and take my time this time i should make pretty gnar power without teh blowarz, and with the help of Derrick / HK engines it should be pretty solid, however i'll probably get bored one weekend and put the blower on, but i would like to tap/thread all the nipples on it so i can run real lines instead of the heater hose so it looks fancier.
tryin to get one of those new 2.3 liter blowers for the 383 built to the teeth LS1 im building for the new racecar.
oh and andy, i'll make a trip up there one day just to do that again that was definately one of my favorite moments ever in that car.

Re: LS1 240sx...take 2.
Sometime within a year or five this guy will be done, but theres still a bunch of baller stuff I wanna do I definately don't need to do, that will keep it from getting done until I realize I'm really overcomplicating this build and just get it done. This is full blown hopefully sub 2k curb wieght 500+rwhp drift car.
Heres all thats left of the og LS13. Gonna donate it to someone for lemons.
And heres future LS1 car, got a lot of work to get started on with this thing.
