Take that bike out your head. You need an SV650S.CodyW wrote:haha...i'd actually rather find a slightly used 04 if i did get one as they came in better colors and you save a ton of money (tax and dealer fees, plus most people drop them down at least a few hundred for being used).
BTW Hooman, I am jacking Marks bike for the weekend since he will be in Cali for MotoGP so we can ride up.

the full fairing'd 650S's have actually grown on me a lot lately, and i would definately consider one if i could get it cheap (especially in blue
). i just kinda like the idea of a really cheap 500 that looks kinda good to start on too, but then again a 600F4/F4i would also be all i need for years and i really like them. i need some money FOERST though
.

600F4 is a great bike, that was my FOERST street rocket. the SV650 is also a great all around bike and a hell of a lot of fun to ride if you're riding around town more. the powerband of the twin is much more suited to the lower RPM use you'll see on the street.
and buying gear before a bike... i applaud you sir!
ps... you'll want to sell that GS500 in a couple months at best to get a bigger bike, so skip it and get something better off the bat. the SV's are very affordable and reliable as hell, and you can get the full fairing race bodies fairly cheap for them.

yea, the GS seemed like a good idea for a sec but after talking to more people about it i don't think it's really what i'm looking for. it does sound like a SV would suit me pretty well (i would be doing lots of around town riding) so i'm definately gonna stay on the look out for one of those (preferably an 03+ in blue, so if anyone sees one for cheap let me know), and yea, i'm definately all about getting gear and taking the MSF course before i get a bike so it will still be a little while, but at least i'll be prepared for the time when i finally get one
