All Bets Are Off - My 2006 Press Kit Photoshoot

Post by andysapp »

I'm a do-it-yourself kind of guy. It will probably be the death of me one of these days. I've always looked at just about everything from the perspective of "there's no reason I can't do it just-the-same, if not better". Fortunately, there are cases where I know I can do a good job - but bringing someone else into the picture (pun intended), can make a project evolve to the next level. Collaboration is a powerful tool.

Enter Zach Wolfe.

Some of you remember Zach from the photoshoot we did at One3 on the cycwall a couple years back. I met up with Zach yesterday for a full-blown photoshoot for pictures that will be used in the print-side of the DVD/sponsorship proposal I am working on. I felt that I stepped up to the plate with the video... so the packaging & overall look of the project must reflect the same.

The pictures turned out absolutely AMAZING. We hit what I was going for dead on, and then some. I wanted them to reflect some of the dirty south, and almost look borderline to a crunk hip-hop shoot - but with more of a scrawny white-boy edge.

We shot about 60 gigs worth of photos... here are a few of the highlights... the full gallery is up here!

Sicccck. A+. The one with the evil face and the tire smoke everywhere is a bad ass, spirited shot.

Man those are some great shots! They're really going to give the press kit that polished feel. Can't wait to see the finished product. The b&w shot where your strapped in the seat is really good.

honestly.. i like the 17's on the car MUCH more than i like the 18s.. why?
because the 18's have too high of an offset and not enough width... the 17s are low and wide and stretches the tire... definite euro-flavor.

great pics.

I am with you 100%. Those wheels look KILLERRR all the way around. It sucks they don't make them anymore. If ya'll see any of these ANYWHERE let me know. I'm on the hunt for more.

Hell naw, killa! That is your throne for sure.

I'm stoked ya'll like the pics! The lighting is where it's at. They spent a lot of time making sure the lighting was right... and I think it paid off! They turned out better than I expected. The black & white shot strapped in the seat is the Lamborghini fire!

I'm working my arse off this weekend to get this proposal DVD all wrapped up, so I should have the finished product VERY soon!

We took more pictures for an art show called "My Uzi Weighs A Ton", about America's obsession with guns. I will post them up later... they are pretty crazy!
