This is the speedo in my Black Hawk. We are going about 150 Knots which is about 195 MPH. We were about 400 feet off the trees. Some times this job is really cool. Took it with my cell phone so the quality is not all that great.

Aerodynamicly it can go 193 knots. It is called the aircrafts Vne (Velocity not to exceed) That is the point at which the aircraft out flyes the retreating blade. Then a bunch of other bad stuff happens.

But the blackhawk has the power to exceed that speed right? It's got enough grunt?

The nose will pich up and the aircraft will roll left. It is a violent manuver but easy to get out of if you expect it.
