track wheels vs. downpipe and exhaust

Post by jo »

Well kartboy was out of the short throw shifter so my mom sent me cash instead. I was thinking about screwing the wheels for now and doing my downpipe and exhaust. I'm afraid of boost creep, though=/ I know I'd have to do something by the winter for sure. I talked to Trey last night and he said he hasn't had a problem with BC yet, so I guess that's good. My car really sounds like a pussy right now so the exhaust would be nice-- but I really need track wheels too. hrmpf.

So which do you think? Powdercoated pink wheels or exhaust and downpipe?

I have to agree with him. this is how it works, see. FOERST:power... Second: sittin pretty in pink. but the bottom line is that its your dough. spend it how you see fit... follow your heart... if you put your mind to it, you can do anything... along with every other saying you heard on T.V. haha

hahahahaha. i'd rather do the exhaust and downpipe honestly...but i sort of need an extra set of wheels to mount tires on to bring to rally-x and stuff, too.

Im running the Turbo XS down pipe and I think they make my midpipe too. Then a no name hi-flow cat and no name muffler. Imo, its the 4 inch down pipe that makes it purr.

P.S. nobody if you dont have it yet, get an intake FOERST. that will help with the loss of "get up and go" that the downpipe causes.

yeah all WRX's have uppipes but the STi one is catless from the factory while the WRX one has a cat in it. an aftermarket downpipe will not make you lose low end power at all, it should give you better spool and more power throughout the entire band. aftermarket intakes however have been known to give up some low end hp in exchange for top end power, especially CAIs
