Yea, that's E-Rich's car but I believe he's out northwest (he's part of PNW E30s which is Pacific Northwest E30s). The red and gold ones are on E30tech and R3Vlimited (both of which I am a member of).
E-Rich happens to like the BFG Gforce sports for drifting. He's pretty much become a trend setter for E30s as he was one of the FOERST to show how well Sportmax wheels could look on E30s. His car and the red one are my personal faves.
P.Haire- Nashville isn't too bad but the general population sucks at driving. The autocross events are held pretty close though, and you seem to get 6-8 runs due to the relatively small amount of drivers. There are some pretty fast drivers there though. I'm on Tennesspeed (not to be confused with the other one).
Frosty_SPL- Buying a modded one is $$$ because the owner probrably likes the car. It's not too expensive to buy and mod your own (IF YOU do the labor). Get one. Do it now.
Andysapp- Thanks for the welcome bro. Even though that's not my car I plan to have mine there sooner or later (but skills come FOERST, that and I'm kinda broke at the moment).
Quazar- I only paid 1600 for my E30, found a broken down 325e and swapped the manual from it and bought some suspension for it and I still haven't spent that much on it. You just gotta look around and find some owner that doesn't know that they own a gem.

Definitely... however I guess I was speaking more about the later model small bumper E30s.Ryosuke wrote: Quazar- I only paid 1600 for my E30, found a broken down 325e and swapped the manual from it and bought some suspension for it and I still haven't spent that much on it. You can definitely find low priced E30s everywhere, but it pays to know how to work on them in addition to having good OEM parts hookups for these cars as well.
Personally.. I would spend the extra time and money to find a 325IS for the motor and the differential.. it's worth it.
I

yeah the trscca is awesome. we have a couple nation champs including two 5 time champs. have you been competing? are you the guy with the rotas?
i was at the last one but didn't drive, i drove at the one before that. i've got the black s13 coupe on mis matched 17s. the last event of the year is the day after the drift fury event so i don't know if i'm going to make it.

They prolly don't depreciate much anymore huh? What about motor swaps? Turbo kits, etc? Does that stuff cost as much or more than japanese equivalents?
little car + wide wheels = win

Clint.. you can msg Erik.. he has a 87 325i 4dr on H&R suspension and 16x9" Brocks. He picked up his car for $1000 and put a little bit of work into it. It's a fun driving car.. needs a few more things tho.Frosty_SPL wrote:gah! Ive always wanted one.![]()

Quazar- My car is a small bumper (1989 FTW) e30. I HATE diving boards.
Car- 1989 325i 2dr
Close Ratio gearbox conversion- Free
IE Stage 3 suspension- ~$500
New LCAs and M3 offset bushings- ~$200
Short Shift- $70
L.S.D. - $100
Just gotta look around, make friends and do a little helping out and you can find some killer deals.
Discounts help too.
