are you going to install the sleeve kit in the transmission to make it a true RWD, and have 100% of the power going to the rear?

you have to at least use the outer splines of the front axles to hold the hub in place.

it's not as simple as pulling the front axles.

Yes and yes and yes...

I'd like to find another Impreza.. but an earlier model .. base model 5 spd awd car.

Definitely use the front outers to hold the front wheels on.. but get the Watanabe components to get the power to the rear.

I am very concerned about the size of the scooby rear end.. I'm thinking the best option would be modifying the rear subframe and putting a R200 in along with a new driveshaft and etc.

Mike Ranlet down in FL has a R200 in his Outback running RWD so he'd probably have a good idea of what parts are needed.

Thinking about doing all this on a budget.. maybe a 1G Legacy turbo motor in like the 92-94 bodystyle Impreza.

I was thinking the same about the small rear diff, is it strong enough...

spent the day working on my friend's RBP coupe.. the new recruit is coming along nicely..

brady.. there is a possibility of adding a third car to our little GC8 shoot. :)

I'm going to throw on some temporary wheels until I find out what I really want in a wheel.. I might test fit a set of 17x9s off a friend's 04 STI to see if they will clear on the inside (strut/coilover).

Anyways.. my friend's 2.5RS is probably getting a Ver3/4 bumper soon.. so we will have two coupes and a sedan.
