Engines are engines, if you understand how it works you can work on any of them. Yes there are little nuances between them but all of them take in fuel and air then ignite it in one way or another. Take a little time and learn about the rotary, it's not nearly as scary as you think.

I'm with everyone else on the idea of using a 318 in that car. Really not worth the effort and money it will inevitably take to get it in and running (it's going take a lot more than you think, it always does with swaps) when there are better ways to go for the money you're going to end up dropping.

how about you are using a stock 4 speed for a dodge muscle car so the gear ratios are going to suck a huge dick.

1st
3.09:1
2nd
1.67:1
3rd
1:1
4th
0.73:1

instead of

1st 3.483:1
2nd 2.015:1
3rd 1.391:1
4th 1.000:1
5th 0.719:1
rev 3.288:1
Final drive type
Ratio 4.100:1

that car with those ratios is going to have such a shitty powerband with having 200 hp

like there's being hardheaded and there's being fucking dumb and you are being REALLY FUCKING DUMB

but whatever spend 30 years trying to get this together because "you know how to work on the motor"

you found the ratios for the mid-to-late '70's version of the OD trans Dan

mine has

1st: 3.09
2nd: 1.92
3rd: 1.40
4th: 1.00

I'm being honest man, Jesus....

and eventually I'll switch to the other gearset which has them closer together than that.

You bought wipers for a non-running shell?

one of the stipulations for this complex is that it has to appear "in running condition"...and it just had the wiper arms, but no wipers. Stupid rules, but I really don't feel like coming home to find the car towed away.

So where do you plan on doing all of your work then? If they're going to complain about not having wipers, I doubt they'll let you do a driveway build.

Seriously man, we all want to see you drive. Buy a running car.

I've actually talked to the property manager about what I'm trying to do, they say as long as I do the work after 6pm mon-fri and on weekends, they're fine with it. Just as long as it's not on jackstands. It's really no different than having to deal with the same rules as a HOA.

I was just doing the wipers as a precaution, and if they do try to say something, I'll just point out about half of my neighbors could be doing far worse things than I do. Here after July, I'll be moving to a different apartment complex that actually has a garage.

I've made my bed, I'm gonna lie in it.

you are going to do an entire drivetrain swap with a possible 3 hours of work time per day during the week and with no jackstands

I give up
