Hahahahaa... I know, right? I'm going to see how this season goes - and if all goes well, I'll transform her into a purpose built car and gut the entire thing.

Shipment number two of my goodies came in today! I'm stoked - although... the install on this seat isn't going to be easy in my car. the seat rails are about three and a half inches inside of the existing mounting points for my stock seats. I might have to get a custom bracket made... because the Sparco one, ain't gawn fit, nahmeen?

That's why my idea is better. If you decide to return the E46 back to full street duty or sell it, you'll not have any holes in the carpet.

Word up! I'll let you know about the seat... I'm trying to get ahold of the shop that sold me the seat & rails to see what's up. He told me I'd have everything I needed to mount the seat in the e46... so I want to hear from him why the seat and rail line up sooo much narrower than the stock mounts. I'll letcha know, though!

As far as the cage goes... I think Adam is going to help me out with it... but I'll let you know if he isn't able to. I appreciate the offer, man! I want to come up and see the Garaje del Dorifto!
:D

I just talked to Tom from OG Racing (hahaha... original gangsta)... he told me that the seat is designed to be hard-mounted by a professional fabricator - meaning a custom rail has to be built between the factory mounting points - then the seat has to be mounted to those rails.

Why can't shxxxt just be plug and play. It's annoying otherwise.

dunno why it takes a "professional" fabricator to moutn a seat... i made a whole custom bracket for my seat to actually mount low enough in the car and it was pretty easy.
