yea...i believe so. I tried to advertise as much as possible in the local areas; radio advertisement, flyers, posters, word of mouth, etc. It seems to be working fairly well. I actually expected more people to sign up. However, with amount of drivers signed up so far we are not loosing money. So the less drivers to sign up means we'll get more seat time. :P

im a local, #19 just registered. There are no amount of words to describe how floored i am about this. a good solid outlet for drifting is nonexistent in the south east. i cant get over the fact the i wont have to worry about cops. im bringing a bunch of friends but only for rides i dont know any other drivers, except andy i think i met him at formula d, his wife and kid were right next to us on the second day. our kids were instant friends. if only half the people register than do we get double the slide time? how many runs do you think we will get? man i need more tires  time for a junkyard search :)

My wife and kid? When did that happen?
Hehehe.

Yes, the less people register... the more time you'll get to slide! You will probably get a lot of runs... upwards of 20 depending on how many people show up, when we start, how large the course is, etc. The last SEDA event we got so much seat time I lost track. AND, I slept for two hours during the event. :D

do you know of anyone that would want to help us work the event? We need people to run cones, control the spectators and other stuff. If you do, tell them that they won't have to worry about the $10 fee, but they'll still be able to ride with any/all the drivers as long as they are still taking care of what we need them to do. Also, I believe SEDA is going to provide all the workers with lunch and/or water.

even if we had the full 40 cars signed up, you would still be dead tired by the end of the day. you will run out of tires almost guaranteed with only ~20 drivers out there.

If anyone can't seem to find enough tires by this weekend, I might be able to bring down a spare set of 195-65-15's for emergency usage :D. Just let me know before hand so I can know if I need to bring any. I have a bunch laying around that I was planning on using at the event, but they're just laying till the next event. And around town there isn't that much trouble coming across used tires.

I can bring 4 maybe. Like $5 a tire maybe? that would be helpful on gas prices :D to get up there. Im bringing a mini so no garauntee on 4 tires.. it may end up being 2 but I may be able to jam in 4 with the seat laid down. We'll see. I'll have them there with me, so just look for the short curly haired guy. Just ask around if your looking for me, someone ought to be able to point you in my direction.
-Zach

Edit: They're all used tires with about 50% tread or more, so no garauntee on how long they might last you.

that's cool. any help you can give us is cool. when ever you aren't driving, get ahold of me, Chris Rhoad, or Zach. We'll direct you to where you need to be.

as for the storm....don't sweat it. I just watched the news and its expected to head back out to sea. So I doubt it'll effect us.
