I never understood why the Corolla guys didn't just mpunt a coil over wher the shock is mounted. Is it a space issue? The Mustang guys have been doing it for years on the front and back. Actually there are alot of people running them without reinforcements, but in my opinion as a semi-educated engineer, I would say it would need to be reinforced. Even is the metal is not cracking, it is probaly flexing and creating internal stresses that will lead to fatigue down the road.
