I'm stoked for this event. Will there be different run groups? How many cars do you anticipate?

hard to anticipate how many cars will show, DDAY brought out 32 registered drivers and DDAY2 i had 42 drivers....So we'll see what happens this time!

I should have a truck to trailer my car, so if anyone needs a place to put tires, if you give a couple bills for gas then you can throw them in the back. I already picked a hotel, but has slipped my mind what it is called. It was the only one that had 4 stars, it was about 70 a night.

well let us know what hotel so we can stay in the same spot! I'm not going to be driving in the event, but rob will probably be driving my car in it. so i guess i might need some tire room unless he's going to take care of that down there!

How come you're not going to drive in the event?

from what i've seen in photos and heard it looks like it's going to be too tight for my skill level. i dn't think i'll feel comfortable and i don't want to push my luck. i've seen rob drive my car though and i trust him to do it. plus, he will pay if he breaks it:)

I see your concern.
I think any track time is good track time... but at the end of the day, it's your call. Maybe they'll let you take my car for a few laps!

That should always be the rule when someone else is behind the wheel.
You break it, you buy it! ... well... the repairs anyway.

I'm down for the 4.5 hour drive (says Mapquest) from Miami to go check out some drifting on a nice track. The only times DG Trials had events down here they picked a shitty track (Hialeh Speedway). Not that it wasn't fucking awesome anyway and I don't blame them, there aren't any good tracks around here to drift.
