i've been reading some of my dad's memoirs. in a nutshell he was even more of a badass than i ever imagined. he also wrote some poems, like this one:

Chances

If I were in Singapore,
To a brothel I might go,
To get myself a little whore,
So I won't be horny anymore,
I would probably have AIDS forever more.

he made an AIDS joke. and it puts a smile on my face.
