All I want to know is can I be Ray Mysterio???

It can save up to 30% weight wise over that of a mild steel cage. That's a pretty big savings if you are trying to pull every pound out of the car.P.Haire wrote:there is no reason to ever use chrome moly for a roll cage.

Me personally I plan on using mild steel for the cost of the chrome moly, the welding requiring more attention, the life span of the chrome moly cage being less, and the fact that the mild steel cage will bend and in some cases I've read of chrome moly cages being brittle enough to just break. All those things, even if they are just questionable things that I mention, are enough to make me go mild steel and take that 30% of weight out in other places or do my best too.
