Picked this up today:
It's too dark to install right now. I also ordered the coil and it should be in on Wedesday. Ill pick up oil and a filter than too. I'm going w/ cheap oil for now until I can know for sure if the head gasket is in fact blown. When I drove it, it felt like it had good compression so if it is blow its probably between a water and oil channel.

Thread from the dead but we got a shop so I am finally able to work on the car.
Well got the Cressida to the shop yesterday as well as some tools and random things. I did a little bit of work...
Sorry for shitty camera phone pics, I forgot my actual camera.
Motor coming out
The line up
My buddy workin on pulling the motor out of his Z
Motor out
BLAH!!!!!
Empty
Random stuff chillin
The 240
All our cars
I consider it an upgrade...
Not bad for a FOERST day at the shop!
Need to pull more misc. items out of the bay and clean it and get it ready to paint, the same w/ subframes. If I can get the material I am going to attempt to make me some aluminum/dellerin bushings for the sub frame at Tech. Once everything is out, cleaned and painted, I'll start swappin stuff so I can get the GTE in. Until then I'm on the look out for five speed swap.
Wheels I came across for it:
Just need tires for em.

Yeah it's off of shagrag. I will take all the help I can get haha.
I got the front end off and most of the misc stuff out of the engine bay.
LONG exhaust
Lots of built up dirt and a few wasp nests... Yay brake cleaner...
Bumper off
Grill
Wheels waiting to go on...
Yay little steering wheel. Hub + Wheel + Shipping = 40 bucks
I have to write a paper tomorrow and I have class 8AM-9PM Monday and Tuesday so I won't be back to the shop till Wednesday or Tuesday night. Next step is pull the sub frames and brake master cylinder and booster out of the bay and start cleaning and wire brushing everything for paint.

I am planning on using this car to learn how to do everything I want to learn like making suspension arms, bushings, welding, fabricating that way when I do it on the 240 I will hopefully have an idea of what I am doing. As far as keeping it auto... I just don't like driving autos. I mean if it comes down to it being ready to go and waiting on a trans, then yeah I'll keep it auto but if I can I want to convert it.
