How has it worked out? ^ Any issues with people treating the car like shit, and do you let anyone drive that pays or is it familiar peeps only?

When I was in the UK in 2006, there was an organization called 'Driftskool' who at the time only had one vehicle; a UK S13 (CA18, VLSD) and it was relatively stock aside from the wheels and a few bolt ons. I believe it was still on stock suspension.

But at both D1 Silverstone events, they were giving out flyers to be randomly selected for a free track day.

Apparently, they're still going strong because they're now associated with Drift UK which puts on the Eurodrift series.

What I'm getting at, is that I think the idea is very feasible. Just make sure you're covered from the legal aspect. I've still got one of the flyers, and it had all of their pricing information, etc.

I understand that $300 is a super cheap option to try drifting before taking the plunge to build a car but I wonder how many people would actually take advantage of it.

If my car was on downtime, and it was relatively close to my setup, I'd be all for it.

i think drift 101 in cali has cars you can rent as part of their school.

i know i wouldnt pay 200-300 for a car with just springs and welded diff...i would want something better. you can have a stock car for beginners and a better one for people that just dont have the car but know how to drive

if i were to do this it would have to cost a lot more than 300 for a day. but they would be real race cars not some trash thrown together. i don't think the southeast is ready for something like this yet.

If you really want to make it cost effective, you'd need to get a dealer license... that way you could go to auctions. You could pick up 240's and such for ridiculously cheap. When you strip it and such, part out the parts and then use that money for slight modifications. If you start out with less debt on the cars it would be more effective... Insurance I think would be a good thing, in case someone decides to pull a dukes of hazzard right into a pole or something...

Credit cars does not rent those cars out, theres just a bunch of people that drive them.

Naoki has three cars that he rents out for his drift101 classes. He's been doing that for at least 3 years that I know of. You might be ale to do some research and get a good idea on how things are run there. But don't bother calling him because he'll threaten to sue you and want you to sign non-compete paperwork for Drift Association.

Yea and Naoki was pissed. He apparently tried to call them and work something out and Blake basicly ignored him. I heard that third party so I don't know validity of it.
