Seems like more of an economy program than an environmental one.

I can understand dealers not being paid seeing as the program only went into effect July 27. The $1b in funding was almost entirely used in the FOERST week and they have now passed an additional $2b. According to what I've read recyclers have 180 days to sell any parts off the cars before being shredded.

Top 5 trade in
1. Explorer
2. F-150
3. Grand Cherokee
4. Cherokee
5. Caravan

Top 5 purchased
1. Focus
2. Corolla
3. Civic
4. Prius
5. Camry

I think the civic is now #1 for purchase. Average mpg improvement for C.A.R.S. participants 9.6 mpg.

That clip took the message out of context. It's only applicable to the dealers. And I'm pretty sure it's only applicable while you're USING the site.

umm really? Jeep Patriot is a piece of shit, as well as a Dodge Caliber, had a friend with a caliber and had tons of problems with it...this car list for trade ins such a suck factor...it does suck we are going to lose some "rare" cars but who cares; it's just a car.

I feel so bad for those cars...

Drain their oil and will their engines with sodium silica (liquid glass). How would you feel if I drained your blood and filled your veins with liquid glass?

That's what they are going to do with Grandma when we get Obama's healthcare
