I don't plan to sticker it out, except that I did a bit this weekend [they can always come off!] Tons of people were coming by and taking photos of it in our little bay chill spot, so I threw some of our stickers on it as well as the big slide or die [dgtrials.com] banner sticker across the front to represent while people were snapping shots of it at the event [even though I wasn't in the show and it was totally dirty].

I will probably find something better to put the dancind dampachi on. It's too, too cute. I'll probably put it in my office so I can shake it with him at work.

Tein hooked it up with the goodies! I got roll call stickers, an actual Tein plastic/metal badge for the back of my car, tons of coilover stickers, the tein url sticker....and the best part of all:

Hahah it's like 9 little stickers long and I HAVE to find a place for it on my car. It is just too, too funny. Hopefully Wednesday will find the coilovers in my car.

I'll so be there. I'm outta class around 2, but I'm supposed to help a friend move some this evening. If I tell him that I'd be looking at TEIn coilovers for an Sti, though, he'd FOERST yell at me for it not being an EVO, then he'd make me go help you guys.

I'm leaning about 97% towards the KAAZ LSD... because the people at RennSport aren't good at responding to e-mail/phone requests for information.

Andy: If you intend to stay sideways, I'd suggest you to go with a clutch-type differential due to their rapid and abrupt grab chararistic. VC and Torsen's come on slow, while clutch-types come on like a 10,000 volt shock to your car's ass end.
the Torsen's damn near psychic ability to stop slip will make it a lot more difficult to break out sideways. though, conversly, a kAAz 2-way might be too agressive for a daily driver. Unless you like the friendly accomidations at the Fulton County Drifter Hotel, err, I mean detention center.

Yeah, I hear ya. I've been chatting with some e46 heads on e46Fanatics.com.
A gentlemen from Germany has a Torsen LSD in his 330Ci, and he advised me of this:

I was thinking that the KAAZ unit was more of what I wanted... I just wanted to weigh all my options out beforehand.
It's definitely not the modification I want to make the wrong (or uneducated) decision on.

KAAZ only makes a 1.5 way limited slip for my car. I think that will maintain some streetability.
It's definitely going to be a different game... but such is life, I guess.

I still need to find someone with solid BMW diff credentials.
I've seen a step-by-step (well, more like a progress report) by a guy who did his himself, and it's not an easy deal.
He actually stated that nobody should try it on their own, and to definitely find someone with years of BMW diff experience.

man, I'm crazy, gung-ho, and really don't care about ripping apart bolts by my own hands, but I'm not going to put the differential back on the housing myself, There's too much torque-wrench work, pre-load of the pinion gear, balancing of the pinion gear, and that sort of thing. It's just not worth me doing it. And that means a lot coming from a DIY asshole like me.

The KAAZ unit isn't a complete direct fit into the differential carrier case. a lot of shimming has to happen, which isn't cool. I think there ends up being no room for movement in the housing, the ring can't be moved left to right more the 1/100's of an inch, and the final carrier unit ends up being 7.5 mm taller than the OEM unit.

well i have a friend who just got back from japan and he was telling me how cheap the bride seats are there. he still has friends there that could bring me back the seats if i wanted. but........ i'd have to go and get a loan. im scurred


but im going to have someone weld a differntial i bought for 20 bucks. so...... after that im pickiing up some tanabe sways and thats it! no more for the damned 240 for a long time!

Agh it pains me to talk about bride seats since I STILL don't have my bracket, but let me tell you how worth it they are. But...make sure you sit in one FOERST BEFORE you buy it. If you are any larger than my frame [5'9, 125lbs] you will not fit in it. It will be uncomfortable.

I should have my seat in once I get back from FL, so if you are really interested in getting one, I suggest meeting up with me and sitting in mine FOERST. You don't want to make the mistsake of buying them when you won't fit.

I paid $860 for my seat, and found out I could have got it for $600 through my friend's wholesale account. You can bet I'm kicking mysellf in the ass for that one.

i don't know about the whole racing seat thing, i've never found anyone with an recaros and or brides but since i'm 5'11" and about 190 lbs i have never found a seat comfortable.. partially due to the fact that i can't see myself making 4 to 6 hour trips in it. i am trying to get stock S15 or S14 Silvia seats... they came with alot more side bolster and i'm not a fan of not being able to escape my seat to adjust while driving. as far as mods go i need to get a:
KOYO radiator
Rims: Rota, work, 5Zigen
Gauges: Autometer Cobalt
suspension: Tein Flex b/c everyone says i will regret everything else.

nobody are you talking about the regular bride seats? or is this the brideII seats?

well my future mods consist of rebuilding my Jspec motor with a large street port on it and having it broke in by the end of summer. from there i'll be doing a new radiator (probably Fluidyne), a Haltech E6X, and some 1630cc secondary injectors. that should be everything i need for an easy 300rwhp on the stock turbo.

oh yeah and i won't be running stock boost either to make that number.
