Once we released Slide America in May 2006... I wanted to help push the video...
hence - new door graphics!
These are the 2nd set... with hella glitter action. The 1st set had no sparkle.

When we installed the headers off one of the TMS World Challenge cars, we had to extend the pre-cat o2 sensor to reach the o2 bung. Those headers output a LOT of heat, and managed to melt the wires together.
Some heat shrink, wire, insulation, and a new set of o2 sensors later, Foerst Motorwerks got the e46 running smooooth again.
Random bumper picture.

5th run out during practice in Pittsburgh... I did this to my pressure plate.
Took me out for the entire weekend. Apparently it's impossible to find anywhere to get a BMW clutch on the weekends in Pittsburgh.
Lame.
Exedy Clutch was going to try and make me a custom setup, but at the last minute, weren't able to... so it's back to the OEM e34 M5 setup. Now I carry a spare clutch and pressure plate to EVERY event.

Next project up to bat... I found this sweet box on my porch from Griffin!
What's inside?
An aluminum radiator for e46... complete with quick-connects?!
Thank you Griffin for answering my prayers. I've been trying to get an aluminum rad in this car since 2004. Aftermarket support with this car is so finicky... it's awesome to see companies step up the support!
This is how it goes, right?

Thanks bud... It is hella long. This car's been through a lot. You need to build your car with the craziness!!StLCankles wrote:damn, took me twenty minutes to read too. hella awsome, and kinda inspiring to a person about to do a build.
You are building a drift car! Everything just takes time... that's one thing I realized in making this thread. Even if I had all the money at once to build it... I don't think it would be the same.down_shift wrote:glad you took the time to put it all together. makes me want build a drift car.
Hahaha... I remember when it only had one... the dealer sticker!shawn shawn wrote:Brings back memories! I remember when it had like 4 stickers on it.
This car has come so far.
badass thread. makes me want to get out and do work on my car. i hate my life right now..im off at like 7 every night with a 20 minute drive home..by the time i eat and sit down..its fucking 830 and its time to do it all over again. damn discount tire winters...haha anyways. dick ass thread. cool too see what you've done. answered a few of my questions so i didn't have to ask..lol
Thanks, bud! Honestly it was your thread that finally inspired me to get all this together. I know there are more threads on here with more build progress... I just can't remember where they are, (disadvantage to having almost 10,000 posts, lol).
Now that my collarbone is healing up, I'll be able to work on the car more... so I will keep ya'll posted with new progress as the car gets shaped up for '08. I can't wait to get that new Griffin radiator in.
