My sound dampening weighed like 26 lbs or something crazy.
And it was effing IMPOSSIBLE to remove. Dry ice barely had an effect.

I might do mine later down the road but I have too much to get done quick haha.

when we did matts hatch we just sat the crushed dry ice on for like 10 minutes and a couple blows with a rubber mallet it came off in big chunks.

Hahaha... I tried that approach. All it did was dent my floorboard. My spare tyrewell got hella mangled trying it that way.

I guess 18 year old 240 dampenting > 5 year old German dampening in that arena.

I started chipping out the trunk's dampening today when I got some free time...





I don't know if I am going to do the rest this go round haha.

same here dry ice didnt do squat for the tiny piece of deadner above my gas tank/pass through.

Yeah I think that dampener is made of a different materials... same with the sides of the transmission tunnel?
