no need for that, probably just needs some troubleshooting time to figure out what's causing the limp mode. crunch time is over and now there's time to get it running right.

that thing has been too good to you for a long time to give it up.

Megasquirt I think can run something similar to vanos, at least the newest version of it. The wiring/set-up for it's super easy, I set mine up all on my own. Getting it tuned shouldn't be terrible the vanos set-up would be the hardest probably. I would say look into it if you want to keep going on with it and try stand-alone.

Andy, Russ knows the owner of DIYAutotune (the maker of Megasquirt) extremely well. There may be something we can work out. Give me a couple of days to see what I can find out and I'll give you a call.

I think you could get a beater e46 m3 for 15k. Will any of your suspension components cross over?
