Let me know when you want to fix that ;) I'll have a welded center diff coming out soon that has your name all over it.
not sure i can put a welded diff in my tranny. its a JDM Ver6 STi RA tranny with DCCD. have been drooling over the Watanabe RWD conversion sleeve for some time, which is built specifically for the Ver6 STi DCCD center diffs. just $600 plus shipping and then waiting like 3months to get it, kinda sucks. my dream-2 trannies:

1. Ver6 STi tranny with 4.11 final for AWD tranny
2. Ver6 STi RA tranny with 4.44 final for RWD tranny

could substitute a stock USDM RS tranny if they could actually handle power without snapping. 1st and 2nd being the weakest gears in the box makes for a bad drift tranny. so only the STi trannies can handle 300-400whp. otherwise PPG gears, but holy hell i would have sell of organs to the black market to afford those in my lifetime. could kill for a PPG 6spd tranny with 4.444 final. oh well.

wow. sorry for the long post.

edit*******the GC is a coupe, but there is a WRX wagon (GG) in the fam.**************

I have a set of Kaaz gears for sale. 1400obo without the mainshaft ($500 shipped). They are the solution to the weak gears of the US trannies.

Problems with the center section are that the helical gears are subject to thrust forces. I've been looking for someone who can copy the idler shaft but with a straight cut gearset rather than the helical stepper set. It'll whine all the time but it will make the RWD conversion sleves more worthwhile.

Or you can wait until I get my Z33 6-speed tranny in and I'll copy my bellhousing for you ;)

Ask martymartymarty.net, you need to get in on this:

from what i have read and heard you want the PPG gearset. straight cut gears or dogset crashers. PPG has it all. pricey as hell tho.

as for my suby drifter-supposedly the Watanabe RWD sleeve housed in the RA STi gears works amazingly. so just need to get the ARC radiator and the Watanabe sleeve then maybe an ApexiPowerFC.......then its on. AWD drift kills my front tires after one night. now i cant drive the GC in any rain or i hydroplane everywhere.

martymartymarty.net-hell yeah. suby driftin FTW!

WTF, all the pics I can find are of martymartymarty.net driving...
Thie one is the best I can find of me at the helm, but that's about .5 seconds into the slide (without reaching full angle yet):

I linked the whole course and got some pretty serious angle later in the day, but I guess the cameras were already away.

There are some funny nuances to driving the low power/large wheelbase wagon, but if you're ever in town you're welcome to take it for a whip.

I need to bring some sleeping bags for the roof and some "I spy" games for those in the back seats.

I did bring 2 haybails to the event and took home 4 additional tires with the roof rack. God I love that thing!
