I assume it functions as some sort of a balance pipe between both headers. Making for more even pressure in the exhaust coming out of both banks of cylinders and therefore a smoother exhaust flow. Just my guess.

Should have never sold this one.. but I had to pay for school.

I didn't like 15" SSRs on my 510.. so I went back to 13"s and lowered ALOT.
