I'm kinda bummed... I saw a thread on E46Fanatics where TONS of people did it to their cars. I guess once people found out how easy it was... they all went for it. I had no idea that many people did it. I thought it was just one dude hahaha. I had also never seen the "Chris Brown" look. I was like whoa. Smoking them seems like it might be cool... all-out flat-blacking them seems anti-functional.

I don't have HID fogs... those bulbs were replacements for the Xenons, since one of the bulbs was going bad.

what did you order for HIDs 10,000k? if you wanted them purple.. mine are 5,000k and almost pure white, slight blue.

I think I actually got 6000K. They weren't labeled at all, so I dunno... and apparently I didn't get an e-mail receipt or a receipt in the box. My brother asked me to pick him up a set of 4500K... and those were labeled. I got some 3000K for the truck... and I can DEFinitely tell by looking at the bulb that it is yellow.

Either way... I think it will be a nice change in appearance once I get those reflectors shot yeller and the clear lenses back on. The one thing I always hated about those yellow lenses was that my headlights turned a muddy green shooting through them.

I logged into their site and saw that I ordered 8000K.

8000k should be a purple blue.. 10000k-12000k should be whacked out purple. contact them and give them the # on your box.. it will mean something to them, even if it doesnt say the actual bulb temp on it. sounds like you did get 6000k or something.

Yea, I have 8000's and they are fairly purple-ish.

I had 6 or 6.5k and they were really white.

I have 10k, they are quite purple.

I ordered some 12K last night since they were only 10 bucks.
I want whacked out PURP hahaha.

i wanted 12k for my fogs and i think they are only 10k. I think my headlights are 8k.
