the fuck? I thought cut firewalls were illegal in FD? or is Rockstar's sponsorship dollars giving the tech guys an awesome pair of blind man glasses when they look at it?

I'm pretty sure TANGELO is tech inspector this year, and he won't let any BS fly.
Also...

god I hope so......with that being said, I like what they did with the swaybar.
they enforce the rear suspension rule, but then they let them do that crap with the front.....oh well.

according to the pro-am xdc rulebook you can modify firewalls.
i assume these rules are the same as the formula d rulebook.

looks like they are using a torsion bar type sway bar.
man.. if you got enough money and sponsors you can pretty much get away with whatever in FD.
i doubt this car will be 'outed' for violating the rules. the rules will just get modified so that it becomes legal.
on a sidenote. the car still has it's horns. look on the lower left of the picture. LOL.

I
think the pro-am rulebook is slightly different... but mostly the same.

the rules are pretty open for formula d, i think that is awesome.
tanner's car isn't even that wild. ken gushi also drives a rwd scion and he doesn't catch as much crap. the falken mustangs are pretty close to tube chassis cars and nobody says anything. i'm not defending tanner though, i think he is a nancy boy and not very good for the sport.

i don't see the firewall moved back...RSX's have a retarted firewall hole too.
what subframe is that?
i think the fabrication and crazy mix-match builds are cool. get tired of seeing a bunch of 240's. now i'm getting tired of seeing a bunch of 240's with ls1's.

I mean, for me I'm cool with tubular subframes as long as the stock mounting points are retained and all, or at least reasonably near the original mounting areas. I could've sworn that the firewall had been cut is all.
