Mountain Run THIS SATURDAY! [may 22nd]

Just got word of a small mountain run taking place this saturday from Jason [speedminded.com]. If anyone is interested, let's start coordinating! It should be a good time to get some drift footage-- should be wet but not pouring!

We'll have to wait a few days to determine a meeting point-- I'm waiting to hear back from Jason. If everyone is going to be from Gwinnett or ATL then I'll find a spot on 85. Usually we meet around 10-10:30am at the Home Depot in Dawson Co. (across from the outlet mall) on Hwy. 400...that gives enough time to get up there and make a couple runs over the mtn before stopping for lunch. The normal place to cookout has a few large pavilions with covered grills too.

Damnit! I am going to SC Saturday to pick up a bike that I just bought. And I was just thinking about a mountain run this morning. Hmmm...how can I make this work?

Here's more finalized info from Jason:

Ok, nobody has it right...Plan for 10am Saturday, same place unless things change:

Hwy. 400 North - Home Depot (across from the Outlet Mall in Dawson Co.)

I will bring the hamburger meat, charcoal, and utensils.

Things needed:
Hotdogs?
Buns (for hamburger and hotdogs)
Lettuce
Tomato
salad? (potato, coleslaw, etc.)

Chips
Snacks
Drinks

Condiments
Papertowel roll or napkins
Paper plates

Even if it's only a 1/2 dozen people again I don't mind firing up a grill. Last time I took a big cooler with ice, drinks, and everything but it really screwed up my in-car vids...all you could hear was the ice and water swaying back and forth. This time I'll pack the hamburger in a smaller container with ice packs so that won't happen.

I heard there are going to be quite a few people filming so if you f up we'll be sure to send a video to your insurance co. j/k

----

I said I'd bring the paper plates, paper towels, and some chips... I don't know if any of you want to get in on bringing some other stuff...

How bout you pick up the bike earlier or later ducati?;)

Nah, been there done that. I got the bike with a ton of spares including a complete extra drivetrain for $1,000. Besides, I like dinosaurs! :D

I will try and take care of the bike on Sunday. I will see if I can work it out. But, we're going to have to find something to eat. That food is going to be destroyed! Lateral blender!

btw, Jason has a police scanner, so we'll be in the clear to fly around as far as cops go. He will probably need to use andy's extra talkie, although I may buy a few more of the cheap ones to give other people to use.

:!:
Well, for starters, it could be fun to take away guest privileges for everyone.

I left this option open, because I like the idea that people don't HAVE to create an account to post. If people are going to abuse the privileges, then you will force me to remove the option for everyone.

Out of curiousity... are you attending UNC, or have you already graduated?
