They look fairly easy to make. Hell, you could give most any machine shop a sectioned vector outline of a popular (or should I say POPLAR ok I'm done) track and have them cut the boards for you and you would just have to laminate them at that point. The cost would probably end up coming out the same so your best bet would be to get a bunch of plywood and have at it with a jigsaw.

Yeah especially if it means getting one in a track that they don't make. I've got a jigsaw and can find scrap wood fairly easily. Oh great here comes another project...

They are cool, but "works of art"? All the hard work is done by a machine+computer. I'd be impressed if they had the elevation changes.

You know, I was thinking the same thing at trivia tonight. Road A would be a bitch to reproduce, it has to have at least a couple hundred feet worth of elevation change in a single lap. :lol:
