This is for my home-bruhhhhhh chris, he's making a nascar exhaust and wants to know if this is fD safe/pass:

This is where I want the exhaust to exit.

This is what I need to remove from the body to do that.

I basically need to c-notch the rocker panel and a small part of the floor in the cab. I do not need to change the frame rail.

This shouldn't be any different than cutting your rear fenders out and arching them higher.

i'm not 100% sure but you can't modify much between the strut towers. the gardella racing camaro got in trouble for notching part of their car for more suspension travel. i know they're real strict on firewall stuff.

besides, side exhaust is dumb. it looks dumb, it sounds dumb, it makes your car all dirty, and there is no reason you can't make an exhuast fit under your car.

I would imagine there's a rule that says it has to dump at least at the diff.

side exhausts can be cool, but you have to use a lot more piping to incorporate a muffler, otherwise they are WAY too loud and sound like ass inside the car and outside.

It's not an opinion or issue of fitting the exhaust guys, he's got a pretty intricate design in mind for this 'lame' exhaust setup. Just need to know if it is LEGAL or not. Tanks yiuuuuuu!!!

this is from the 2010 rulebook and is most likely unchanged or more strict...this is a NASA rule.

8.6 EXHAUST SYSTEM
Exhaust system modifications are free, but must exit aft of the rear axle or in the original location.

boom.

little internet research is your friend.

I think there should be a 75 dB limit.
