had a long work day so i was in the garage only for a short time, made a dummy of the gearbox cover out of cardboard, will make the FOERST version of it tomorrow at work out of aluminium

So busy day today, loving the progress.
Made a Gearbox mount, really envy about that i think i have to make me a new one
took some pics of the engine mounts i did on sunday
Bought an universal axle boot for another use...

400hp SR GC8 would be more fun, or maybe an LS.

GC8 can already make 400whp+ with current motor, but that motor sucks ass to work on and trackside stuff would be a nightmare not to mention I still have a strong want to convert it to RWD and go have fun.

Yes, but you will have to cut out the firewall and use the valve cover as an armrest. The again we can start another thread to discuss

Have you inspected those factory engine mount isolators? They look very similar to mine (SLK) and they are extremely soft and compliant even when brand new. Might need re-engineered for drift duty.
