There aren't really words how special that was. I can't thank everyone that made it enough for helping to make it so special. I know there were so many that wanted to make it that couldn't... and y'all were there in spirit... as was Tyler. I know that wherever he is... he was smiling down on us.

I super struggle closing chapters... but that was such a beautiful send off... that it helps. I'm really going to try and do my best to remain thankful that we all had this 15 year chapter in our lives with Tyler and Koruworks. It's a chapter most people don't get to experience. I'm grateful for that. I'm grateful for y'all. Gregg said it best: that place is just for walls and a ceiling... it's the people that made it special.

Koruworks forever.

I have a few photos from my Fuji I need to post. I didn't shoot a whole lot because I wanted to be as present as I could... but I did snap a few.

Finally getting around to some quick editing on the ones I took on my Fuji too. What a special night .

I hate that I didn't make more time in my life to spend at the shop. I hate that it's gone, and I hope that it can be carried on in some way. Thanks Tyler for having a dream and making it happen!

Chad, I feel you 1,000,000%. And same. I feel like I've been losing people and places that are important to me left and right the past handful of years. And one thing I've realized... is there's never enough time. You can try to spend as much time as you can with that person or in that place... but once it's gone it will ne'er be enough.

I'm so thankful we got to have someone like Tyler and somewhere like the shop in our lives in any capacity. It was all SO special!

And man, I feel all that so much too. Also hate realizing I was so caught up with other parts of life during a lot of the early days of Koru (and just generally out of the car world for much of that time) but I do appreciate the visits I've had there so much. Also super thankful a lot of us have had some really good times there in just the last couple of years. Still so bummed to see it go but hopeful that we'll still have some other opportunities and places to try to keep that spirit alive.

Totally this. ^^

I've been thinking a lot about that. Once I started touring full-time... I really feel like I borderline abandoned drifting for what was ultimately an incredible career on the road as a creative professional. I don't regret that... however I do wish I had made it a point to just balance the two better. I think back to things like Koruworks run at all things Formula Drift... and I was just gone for all of it. If I could go back, I would just do things a little differently so that I could be there... and the shop... and with Tyler... and with all of y'all more.

I finally sat down with my X100 photos from that night. I can't believe how much time has passed already.

I really tried my best to stay present... so I didn't document that much... but here are a few that I did snap:

I think we both did!! Also I think it's neat to see the differences between ours considering they're shot with the same camera. I'd like to go through my archive and pull all the old photos from Koru... but that is a TASK. So I may just post some here and there as I find them.
